King Balinar is known in history as both a great warrior and a great ruler. According to the common elves, the best ruler infact.

King Balinar was born in year [s.a 680], the second child of queen Faiel. Balinar's healthy birth was such a great victory for the nation and the royal couple, that he quickly becomes everyone's favourite. This makes his relationship to his sick older brother Linco quite a negative one from the start. 

​

In a different way to other second children, Balinar is raised his hole youth to become king, since everyone is just waiting for his older brother Linco to pass away. Balinar learns everything from his mother about how to rule a kingdom, and becomes quite the expert in warfare and swordfighting thanks to his father.

But the years go by, and Linco grows older with Balinar. Balinar thinks that the possibility of him ever becoming king is not there anymore. In the year [ s.a 2227] Balinar's mother Faiel dies of sickness. This is a huge sadness for Balinar in more ways than one. In one way, Balinar was very close to his mother and griefs her very much. In another way, it is a huge turning point for Balinar. His older brother Linco has beat the odds and survived childhood. So when his mother got sick, she gave to crown up to him and Linco is now king.

This sends Balinar into a sort of deppression. The one purpose he has been trained for his entire life he is no longer needed for. He can not stand to live in the castle with his paranoid brother, so he goes to live among the common elves to get away from the "High-house life".

Living among the common-elves changes Balinar. He no longer has a yearning for power och money, instead he finds happieness in important things like friendship, religion and ofcource, love. In the year [s.a 2244] he meets and falls in love with a common elf called Luda. The two live together in the city of Iseirus for a few years.

​

Then something happens in the year (s.a 2280]. The day "old" Balinar always dreamt of commes. The sickness gets the better of his older brother and he dies. This makes Balinar the new king. Before, this would have made him happy. But now it is his worst nightmare. He debates refusing the crown, but Luda convinces him to take it and use it to better the lives of the common-elves. So Balinar does that.

The years go by and the royal couple welcome a son into the world and the nation lives happily. But in the year [t.a 2] something bad happens on the island. The first civil war. Prince Gandereth of house Lise tries to overtrow the crown and take over. King Balinar fights well agains the Lise forces for a long time, but one special day a one on one battle between Balinar and Gandereth happens on a place called Spear Mountain. There, Balinar getts killed. His wife, who never expected to be queen, takes over after him since their son Corai is still too young to rule.

• Born in the month of mirkas. Therefore he is a fighter sunsign.

• Known as a great warrior and a kind and generally good king.

• Known in history books as “King Balinar the great” since he was (according to the common elves of the working class at least) the best ruler they ever had. He was also great with a sword.
