The reason behind this nature phenomenon is unknown, but watchers of the occurrence said that it looked as if a big hand dragged a line across a part the island, an that was where it broke of, thereby naming it “the big drag”. After this incident, a lot of new negative and uplifting words were made for the language, to represent the disaster that had happened but also the spirit that the high-born and worker elves got to resurrect that part of the island. A mystical society of highborn elves creates a cult called “gath huineth”(meaning “the darkness”)[read more about this on the house sikilas page], in opposition to the newly created state religion by queen Faiel, obeying the cycles of the sun. This added a bunch of religion related words to the language, for example temple(n) or to pray(v). (S.A 345)

Events on the island that effected the language

Laeteth is spoken across 5 continents, but not much sets the language apart depending on where in the world you are. Certain events have however specifically effected the language development on Maltketh specifically. The biggest additions in new words to the language have been:
